Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Not at this time. I have chosen to offer only teletherapy (any form of therapy provided virtually, such as by video conferencing, or by phone) as many clients find that connecting in these modes gives them the comfort to connect from a space they feel safe to be vulnerable with greater ease, and enables them to include therapy in their schedules with greater success. Providing teletherapy also enables me to offer evening appointment times.
Will my insurance provider cover my teletherapy sessions?
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #3084) licensed by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). While most insurance companies recognize this designation, it is best for you to check with your insurance service provider to ensure that they cover teletherapy.
What is the difference between a CCC and a RCC?
The requirements to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) are identical, the only difference being that RCCs are part of a provincial association, whereas CCCs are part of a national association.
Do you work with folks who reside outside of BC?
For insurance purposes, I only work with folks who reside in British Columbia.
